Kings of Karaoke have doing it hard for the past 6 years. Here is how came about,
Colin The King of Karaoke started throwing parties as soon as he came out of his mother. After being involved in various forms of party planning and entertaining he found his true calling. In 2000 he began plotting his plan to develop a new style of karaoke event. Fueled by his love for the Japanese art form, free booze, women, and humor, he landed a Tuesday Night gig in Williamsburg.
After a year of raging and developing some loyal followers he decided to bring the event to the famous Lit Lounge(many a celeb has been known to show up and sing) in New York City. This is when DJ Flimflam came aboard as the man who would keep everything running smoothly, as Colin was smashing things and motivating the troupes to dance. DJFlimflam also brought to the table a constant desire to seek and out and spin new music in between performers, which would set the tone for the night. Together they would forge ahead over the next 4 years adding various venues (Stinger Club R.I.P.) to the weekly menu of karaoke madness.
