The NLBK Q&A series continues with soul and funk DJ, DJ Concerned. Concerned has always felt a special relationship with music. He followed the hip-hop movement from its early roots and it became the soundtrack to his life. This led him to study the art of deejaying at the world-famous Scratch Academy, co-founded by none other than Jam Master Jay of the legendary Run-DMC. Concerned then turned Williamsburg, Brooklyn into his springboard to make the people dance. Intent on defending the blend, Concerned navigates the waters where Funk, Soul, Reggae, Latin, Afro-beat and Hip Hop intersect. He is a fan-favorite and a darling of the social scene. His versatility makes him the rare DJ recruited by live bands of all genres.
