Saturday, October 24th:
MIHicon would once again like to thank the more than 3,000 people that spent the beautiful summer day with us in Prospect Park on Sunday, July 19th. It was by far our largest HEATWAVE to date and we thank you for your continued support in making this the highlight event of the summer.
Now - help us keep HEATWAVE alive!
In response to the publicly noted backlash from this year’s HEATWAVE, we have worked with Prospect Park and its leadership to spearhead a community service day in conjunction with the already existing, “It’s My Park! Day.”
The scheduled date for this event is Saturday, October 24th, from 10am to 2pm.
We are looking for your help, as supporters of HEATWAVE and MIHicon, in getting together as many volunteers as possible to help make this event a huge success and also cement a working rapport with Prospect Park and the Prospect Park Alliance for future events and of course HEATWAVES.
Will there be a HEATWAVE10.0?
The success of this event will determine that – fate lies in our hands! If you are willing to volunteer to help keep our parks clean and the HEATWAVE tradition alive – Remember the wonderful tradition HEATWAVE has become…
From 10am to 2pm
Please come and support!

Every summer in cities around the country the Global Autism Project holds the Paddle for Autism Awareness event. This signature fundraising event pairs experienced kayakers with children with Autism and their friends and family for a unique opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and raise both money and awareness for Autism around the world. The NYC Paddle will be held this year at Valentino Park in Red Hook, Brooklyn on August 1st from 10am-4pm. There will be exhibitors and lots of fun activities for kids and adults, with or without Autism!
