In a little over a year, progressive trio Mostly Bears took the Tucson music scene by storm, earning a record deal and releasing a debut EP in 2007 and their first full-length in 2008. Their album The Ed Mitchell Clinic has garnered praise nationwide (including ranking #30 on CMJ’s Top 200) due to its eclectic mix of spacey prog, indie folk, and anthemic rock, channeling the sounds of the Mars Volta, Arcade Fire, Radiohead, and Muse often within the same song. Since their inception, the trio has been awarded the title of Best New Artist by Tucson Weekly and has toured with …And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead.
