Transy House has been a center of trans community, activism, and work
towards self-determination since 1994. It was Sylvia Rivera’s home
from 1997 to her death in 2002, and the people of Transy House were
strong supporters of Sylvia’s human rights activism in the final years
of her life.
Sylvia Rivera Law Project works to guarantee that all people are free
to self-determine gender identity and expression, regardless of income
or race,
and without facing harassment, discrimination or violence.
Join with Transy House and SRLP to celebrate Brooklyn’s trans and
queer activists!
SRLP thanks Colin Moore & Rusty Mae Moore of Transy House and MIX NYC
for co-sponsoring with film tech support!
